Our mission
Our mission is to ensure that the (evolving) relationship between the EU nations and the UK fosters the climate-sustainable growth of British seasonal outbound travel businesses. Growth in this sector contributes to the economies of both the UK and EU nations. We do this by working with all parties to develop effective systems that allow young British employees to temporarily work across the EU nations in seasonal tourism.
What exactly do we do?
-
SBiT ensures members are kept up to date with the evolving regulatory requirements affecting their businesses in the different EU nations, so that they and their seasonal workers remain compliant in all areas.
-
We run workshops and webinars to assist members in interpreting regulation, and to share challenges as well as best practices.
-
We aim to ensure that all those involved in policy creation in both the UK and the EU are fully aware of the significant benefits, both cultural and economic, of UK citizens being able to temporarily work in EU nations supporting the seasonal travel industry.
-
We lobby to ensure that the mechanisms necessary for UK citizens to work seasonally across EU nations are as frictionless and straightforward as possible. As such, protecting the jobs and economic contributions of the thousands of UK citizens employed in this sector of the UK travel industry.
-
By working with all parties, members and Governments, we aim to help members face the challenges presented by the climate crisis and develop industry-wide best practices.
